Two for the Road: October 5 & 6, 2013

After saying our goodbyes to my daughter, we started heading back down to our westward point, Pueblo. It was late so we stopped along the way and stayed overnight at a Walmart. Had been in contact with my cousin and the next morning we were able to get together! We met at a great place for brunch (he treated - so nice of him!) and had such a wonderful time!

Like my daughter, it took one trip out to Colorado, and he knew he wanted to live here!

Haha!...a Delorean! Back to the future!

And on that note we did take a step back!...

As we hooked up the jeep to head out, we noticed the rear right light stayed on...and the signal AND brake light didn't work...not good...not safe. So we called the Camping World in Colorado Springs and said the cable wasn't working (we had stopped there on the way up and bought a new electrical connection cable for the RV to the jeep).

However, we wouldn't make it to them in time before they closed! They suggested another one above Denver. So we high-tailed it to Golden! Get there, the cable is fine. So two of the service guys, Donny and Charlie, spend hours trying to fix it - usually you make an appointment weeks in advance, and they were just so nice to help us right away!
Did what they could and told us they are closed tomorrow and the guy who's the best at fixing all their electrical problems would be in Monday morning....(Oh no! It's Saturday afternoon!) So they let us park behind Camping World, lol, for the weekend. (This trip is so insane!)

So guess who drove down to hang out with us on Sunday??!! My daughter!
She picked us up and we spent the day in Golden - what a cool town!
