...as I am reading my friends blog, it all seems to weave together, her making me the cardboard Jesus, reminding me He will never leave me or forsake me. And now her beginning a new venture in life. From her blog profile - "It is my desire (and I believe God's also) to reach out and encourage others to look for God's loving hand in their everyday life as well as their times of trouble. And perhaps encourage them to record those moments as well, so that they will not forget that Jesus never leaves nor forsakes us and we are in His care even when hardship comes along. These are the special times I call God Visits." www.godvisits.blogspot.com

December 21st - It's been quite the adventure! We've had our share of bumps in the road, but as always, He was beside us and keeping us safe.
The words to "Me and My Cardboard Jesus" by Madeline Kadletz and Marie Hollings, given to me at our Ladies Bible Study, before we left on our trek across the USA!
Here's my cardboard Jesus.
He's hanging by my side.
It's me who's been forgiven
On that day He died.
Here's my cardboard Jesus
He's risen from the grave.
He's here to help my living
on each my earthly days
You may think it strange,
I carry Him around.
But He serves as a reminder
to sin I am not bound.
He reminds me that the real one,
is with me everywhere I go
He is my cardboard Jesus,
reminder, the real one loves me so.
When I gave my heart to Jesus,
I was feeling free
But, I always wondered,
Was He really there with me?
I got myself a bracelet, that read WWJD
It was really pretty, but it didn't work for me.
Now I see Him with me, 'cause I carry Him along.
Looking at Him makes me smile,
That's why I wrote this song.
Me and my cardboard Jesus, we make quite a pair.
When I have Him with me, I don't have a care.
In my heart I know He's with me
And I won't stray too far...
Because my cardboard Jesus,
Is right here in my car!
