Greg dropped me off at Hobby Lobby (Mom got me a gift card for my birthday!) and he went to 2 bike shops in town to get the handlebars re-wrapped (yup, again!) and some replacement parts for things that had broken.
A few hours later (Well...shopping at a craft store takes time!) we met up again and went to Steak 'n Shake for some awesome shakes!
Stopped by the Wildlife Refuge Visitor's Center to ask the ranger if there were any other neat places to explore...she said the best was the auto tour, but showed us another place to drive to and a hike to go on to see a waterfall. Before I left, she showed me these monarch caterpillars...it's amazing that they turn into such beautiful creatures...
Did the hike first.
There was a boot brush below the sign, that we brushed our sneakers on...
Beautiful, serene place...
I guess there hasn't been much rain here...because there wasn't any water falling!
Not sure anyone's been here in a while...the path was overgrown in places. (my kids know what I was thinking in my head...ticks ticks ticks!!!)
Drove around for a while after the hike...didn't see any wildlife but the scenery was nice!
Went to a place we checked out the other night...food wasn't so good,
but the ambiance was!
Best part of my day...spending time with Greg and hearing from family and friends...love them all dearly.
